Energy Imbalance Market Governance Initiative: Issue Paper Posted




The California ISO's EIM Transitional Committee posted an issue paper addressing governance of the Energy Imbalance Market.   A stakeholder meeting is scheduled for January 12, 2015 in Phoenix, Arizona to discuss the paper.  Please RSVP by January 7 if planning to attend in person.  Comments on the issue paper are due close of business January 26.

The ISO posted an issue paper for the Energy Imbalance Market governance initiative to its website at  The EIM Transitional Committee developed the paper and will discuss it at the January 12 stakeholder meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.


The EIM Transitional Committee stakeholder working group is seeking stakeholder input on two key topics addressed in the paper.  The first is a set of criteria for evaluating potential governance proposals.  The second concerns the general relationship between the ISO and the EIM governing body, and the nature and degree of the influence it should have over the EIM rules.


Please submit comments on the issue paper to by close of business January 26.


Please note that the EIM Transitional Committee meeting will immediately follow the stakeholder meeting from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Mountain Time) at the same location.  The general session is scheduled from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. (Mountain Time).  The EIM Transitional Committee meeting draft agenda was noticed today and is available on the ISO website at
