Main Text

The ISO posted an issue paper for the Energy Imbalance Market governance initiative to its website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/IssuePaper_ConceptualModels-EnergyImbalanceMarketGovernance.pdf.  The EIM Transitional Committee developed the paper and will discuss it at the January 12 stakeholder meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.

The EIM Transitional Committee stakeholder working group is seeking stakeholder input on two key topics addressed in the paper.  The first is a set of criteria for evaluating potential governance proposals.  The second concerns the general relationship between the ISO and the EIM governing body, and the nature and degree of the influence it should have over the EIM rules.

Please submit comments on the issue paper to EIM@caiso.com by close of business January 26.

Please note that the EIM Transitional Committee meeting will immediately follow the stakeholder meeting from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Mountain Time) at the same location.  The general session is scheduled from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. (Mountain Time).  The EIM Transitional Committee meeting draft agenda was noticed today and is available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/Agenda-EIM_TransitionalCommitteeMeeting-Jan12_2015.pdf.

The ISO will post the stakeholder meeting presentation by close of business January 8 on its website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/EnergyImbalanceMarketGovernance.aspx.  Please RSVP to smc@caiso.com by January 7 if planning to attend the stakeholder meeting in person.
