The ISO has posted a draft version of the Business Practice Manual (BPM) for the Energy Imbalance Market (EIM).

The ISO has published its first draft of the Energy Imbalance Market BPM on its website at The draft version is effective July 1, 2014.


The energy imbalance market is an extension of the ISO's real-time market. This BPM is a guideline for EIM participants and outlines the processes in the EIM, including references to existing business practice manuals. Many of the business practices applicable to the real-time market also apply to the energy imbalance market.
