Hybrid Resources Phase 2-B and Flexible Ramping Product Improvements activation rescheduled from 12/1/22 to 2/1/23

The California ISO has moved the Hybrid Resources Phase 2-B and Flexible Ramping Product (FRP) Improvements activations to Feb. 1, 2023. The decision to delay these two projects is to ensure delivery of a quality product that meets internal readiness criteria and supports customer readiness feedback.

The projects require a monthly settlements configuration which necessitates the activation on the 1st of the month. Given that the next window of opportunity for activation falls on the January 1st holiday weekend, the ISO has decided to avoid the New Year’s holiday by opting for activation on Feb. 1, 2023.

The project specific information can be found in the Release User Group presentation here.

Additional readiness activities for the activation may be scheduled for dates in January 2023. More details on these activities will be shared in the coming weeks.
