WEIM Resource Sufficiency Evaluation Enhancements Phase 1B: Analysis Posted, Call 4/1/22

MESSAGE

The California ISO has scheduled a stakeholder call on April 1, 2022, to present analysis as part of the Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM) Resource Sufficiency Evaluation Enhancements (RSEE) Phase 1B initiative, which is available on ISO's website. This first stage of the analysis covers the impact of load conformance on WEIM transfers and the assessment of the quantile methodology to estimate uncertainty requirements.

The objective of the phase 1B initiative is to continue to enhance the accuracy and equitable application of the RSE, as well as resolve any outstanding concerns that were raised by stakeholders in the phase 1 initiative.

A presentation will be posted on the initiative webpage at the link above prior to the call.

The call will be recorded and the video file posted on the process webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.

Please submit written comments on the analysis and call discussion by April 15, 2022, through the ISO’s commenting tool on the process webpage.
