As a reminder, the California ISO will be hosting a two-day workshop on Feb. 11 and 12 for the Extended Day-Ahead Market Enhancements (EDAM) initiative. This is part of a series of workshops intended to provide stakeholders with an opportunity to have in-depth discussions on topics included in the issue paper for this initiative, which is available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/StakeholderProcesses/Extended-day-ahead-market.
Each workshop will focus on a bundle of topics identified in the issue paper. The topics for the February workshop include transmission provision, resource sufficiency evaluation, and distribution of congestion rents. The ISO invites stakeholders to present their proposals for how to address the topics identified in the issue paper at the workshops. If interested in presenting during the February workshop, please email isostakeholderaffairs@caiso.com no later than Jan. 20 and indicate which topic(s) you would like to discuss. Workshop presentations will be due to the ISO at the email address listed above by close of business Feb. 4, 2020.
The ISO will also be hosting a stakeholder meeting on Feb. 10 to review the straw proposal for the Day-Ahead Market Enhancements (DAME) initiative. Because of the correlation between EDAM and DAME, the schedules for these initiatives have been aligned to help stakeholders effectively allocate resources to engage in both efforts. Details regarding this meeting will be available in a forthcoming market notice.
