The California ISO will hold a public stakeholder call on Feb. 2 2022, to discuss the Reliability Demand Response Resource (RDRR) Bidding Enhancements initiative. This initiative has been recently bifurcated to accommodate varying policy and implementation timelines.
- Track 1: Draft Final Proposal: Seeks to align RDRR bidding rules with real-time price conditions, consistent with FERC Order No. 831.
- Track 2: Second Revised Straw Proposal: Proposes an enhancement to adjust discrete RDRR’s operating range to reflect their real time capabilities as well as an enhancement to increase the discrete RDRR megawatt (MW) size cap from 50 MW to 100 MW.
A presentation will be posted prior to the workshop on the RDRR Bidding Enhancements initiative webpage. This meeting will be recorded, and the video file will be posted on the webpage for a limited time. The recording is for informational and convenience purposes only and any related transcriptions should not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.
Please submit comments on the proposals and stakeholder discussion by Feb. 16, 2022, through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative webpage.
