New Initiative: Energy Imbalance Market Year 1 Enhancements, Meeting 11/17/14

Summary
The California ISO has launched a new stakeholder initiative called Energy Imbalance Market Year 1 Enhancements. A stakeholder meeting is scheduled for November 17, 2014 to discuss the issue paper and straw proposal, which will be available on November 10, 2014. Comments on the paper are due by December 1. If planning to attend in person, please RSVP by November 13.

The ISO has scheduled a stakeholder meeting on November 17, 2014 to kick off a new initiative called Energy Imbalance Market Year 1 Enhancements. An issue paper and straw proposal for discussion during the meeting will be available by close of business November 10 on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/EnergyImbalanceMarketYear1Enhancements.aspx.
The proposed enhancements include items that address compliance with a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission order, commitments from the original stakeholder process and other items identified during implementation. The ISO will present some of the enhancements to its Board of Governors at the March 2015 meeting. The Board-approved items are planned for implementation during the fall 2015 release, which aligns with NV Energy joining the EIM. Remaining enhancements will go to the Board of Governors for approval later in 2015.
The ISO will post an agenda and presentation at the above web address by close of business November 13.
