The California ISO has posted the agenda for the Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) Forum on Oct. 13, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. (Pacific Time). This is a free virtual event aimed at reinitiating a regional discussion that builds upon the success of the Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) framework by extending the day-ahead market and unlocking the potential for incremental benefits from optimizing supply and transmission resources across the west.
The forum features several panel discussions including a roundtable of regional CEOs who will share their perspectives on an extended day-ahead market (EDAM) and how it fits into the western energy landscape. This theme will be carried throughout the forum with a panel that will explore common EDAM design concepts and principles, as well as a segment featuring regional regulators and policy experts who will discuss the key principles and EDAM governance.
